FACILITIES AND PLAYGROUNDS |
New to Stoughton is the Bradley Lessa Memorial Playground located off West Street. It is a magnifcent playground nestled adjacent to the trails at the town-owned conservation land known as the Libby property. The playground structure was a gift to the Town in 2006 from the Lessa family in memory of their son.

The Children's Adventure Playspace Project, or CAPP, is located on Pierce Street. The playground features swings, a large slide, and a tire dragon. Next to the playround is Halloran Park, a large field area with a paved walking track around it. There are also basketball courts and horseshoe pits at the far end, and a barbeque and picnic area towards the rear of the park.

The Recreation Department also maintains and issues permits for the large field area behind the West Elementary School. This area contains 4 softball fields, 2 baseball diamonds, and a gravel walking path. Planning is currently underway for the construction of a comfort station at this location.

If you are interested in reserving a field or other Recreation facility, please contact the Recreation Office (781-341-1300 ext. 244) for information on getting a field permit. The Recreation Department manages the aforementioned facilities, as well as the baseball field beside the O'Donnell Middle School, soccer and softball field at the Gibbons Elementary School, and softball fields at the South, Dawe, and Hansen Elementary Schools.
