Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts-Stoughton

To sign up for a tutor, ask a librarian for an LVM form

LVM-Stoughton students come from all walks of life and represent all ages, income, races, cultures and communities. There is no typical LVA-Stoughton student, and there is no single cause of reading/English problems. Some students dropped out of school, while others missed obtaining important skills and were too embarrassed to seek help. Some students lacked educational opportunities or an interest in learning. Others have learning disabilities, which were not noticed or received remediation in school. Finally many of the adult literacy students hail from other parts of the world where exposure to English or educational opportunities are limited.
The program is free of charge to all students.
